KEEPING OUR

DISTRICT HEALTHY​

  • Expand Medicaid: I will work to ensure all Georgians have access to affordable healthcare options

  • Improve conditions for elderly Georgians: I will advocate for better healthcare services, affordable housing, and support programs for seniors.

BUILDING STRONG

PUBLIC SCHOOLS​

  • ​​Prioritize funding for public education: Allocate resources equitably in order to improve schools and support students

  • Support educators and support staff: Advocate for fair wages, benefits, and professional development opportunities. 

  • Oppose vouchers: I will fight to ensure public funds are invested in public education

  • Protect LGBTQIA+ students: Implement policies to prevent discrimination and harassment, and provide inclusive education and support services.

RESTORING

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

  • ​Protect access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare services, including the woman’s right to choose to make personal healthcare decisions without government interference.  

  • Advocate for policies that ensure equitable access to prenatal care for all pregnant people, addressing disparities and structural racism in maternal health outcomes, especially maternal mortality rates. 

COMMUNITY SAFETY

  • ​Common-sense gun laws: Firearms are the number one cause of death for children and teens in America. Keeping our communities safe means advocating for and passing common-sense gun laws that ban assault weapons, implement comprehensive background checks, require safe storage, and keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers. We must protect our children in the classroom, on the playground, and in houses of worship. 

  • Community-based violence prevention programs: I will advocate for programs and resources including mental health support to promote safer neighborhoods for all Georgians.

VOTING RIGHTS & ELECTIONS

  • ​Fair, and transparent voting: While Georgia Republicans are working to silence us, I will fight for our right to vote. This means advocating for policies that make it easier, not harder to participate in our democracy - automatic voter registration, expanding early voting opportunities, convenient absentee ballot options.

  • Oppose voter suppression: I will fight against blatant measures to suppress our right to vote, such as strict voter ID laws and partisan gerrymandering.

  • Formerly incarcerated votes: I will champion efforts to restore voting rights for formerly incarcerated individuals who have served their time - disenfranchisement undermines our principles of democracy.
